Grace Christian School has served the Norwalk, California area for nearly 40 years. We offer private Christian education from K-4 through 12th grade. We are a long-standing member of ACSI. We are also associated with Alpha Omega. Our teaching methods differ from others because we emphasize mastery education and an individualized approach. These two concepts work hand in hand to ensure your child achieves success in his/her work each day.

We believe that many public and private schools teach children as if they are all alike. For example, in a typical classroom, you may find children who are better at math than English, while others soar in science but struggle with history. To teach all of these children at one level is not practical. At Grace Christian, each child is assessed individually. We determine if any learning gaps exist for all subjects. Once the assessment is complete, we place your child in each subject at the level s/he will experience success. This means a 6th grade student might be performing in 7th grade history and English, 6th grade math, and 5th grade science. Our job is to catch him/her up where needed as quickly as possible, and then help him/her to achieve at grade level or higher. Instead of a teacher teaching 30 students as one, we have small classes where the each student is tutored individually on a computer. Each day, students learn by reading the text and doing their work on screen. The computer immediately shows them if they have correctly answered a question. If not, they make corrections before moving on. If they do not understand a concept, the teacher assists them at their computer station. Some students need little input, others require more. We supply the necessary support for students to understand the concepts they are working on.
